From the alignment shop, the drivers side bolt was all the way in....i turned that one all they way out and the drivers side sits great.
The passenger side bolt was all the way out and sat much higher.
I took the pass side apart and with the lower control arm level with the cross bar under the motor the only way i can fit the key back on is the way I currently have it or I can turn it down. If I turn it down then the key almost point directly at the ground.
I can however raise the LCA up more and turn the key up one but the LCA would be sitting much higher than the cross member. I really dont think this is right because the directions say to raise the LCA level with the ground.
well last night was a ******* disaster. The whole mixup with how the keys were installed then the task of taking it all apart to fix it.
But the real kick in the nuts was when i went to put things back together and see where the truck sat...i couldnt get the ball joint nut back on. From the looks of things i must have hit the side of the bolt with the hammer then i separated the ball joint from the spindle.
I spent an hour and half last night trying to get the nut started on the bolt. I have like a 200pm tap and die set but they were all too small! So either i find a die the right size or i will be replacing a brand new ball joint with a brand new ball joint. Lesson learned.
So back to my last question last night...are the ball joints in the djm lca any different than stock? I need to get this thing done today!
