Im looking to upgrade my headlights to 6000k HIDs. People have been telling me that DDM used to be a good brand until they outsourced to China, ever since their quality has dropped. Im just looking for a decent brand that wont break my wallet. another brand that was mentioned to me was VVME. i also heard they are decent too. im looking for 6000k lows and highs. any ideas?

Some people just have bad luck. I have a pair of China DDMs and a friend has a pair of China DDMs. So far zero problems for both of us and we ordered months apart so they definitely came from different batches. A lot of members on here have them as well.

More brands are HIDGuy, FlashTech, this place, FutureVision and good old eBay. I can't say anything about these brands as I have never used them, but it could be something for you to research. Good luck whichever way you go.

My ddm harness fuse failed fried all my low beams to my highs all the way up to the fuse box $220 later I'll never buy a cheap pair again.... I was recommended by a ton of ppl here but they mostly all had pre-china ddm..... Tahoewhat had a firing problem with the setup he had which mine had as well before they caught up in smoke...I'll be buying my next hid setup through theretrofitsource(dot)com..most likely morimoto.... Anywho Wish luck with your setup bud hope they work for you for years to come

I won't order from DDM again either. Took 3 weeks to get bulbs from China and the box was destroyed when I finally got it. One bulb failed nearly immediately.

That said, for $30-40 for an entire kit it's hard to beat when they DO work....

Exactly. It's truly a gamble. I've had nothing but good luck with my HIDs from DDM, but if you have problem and need to contact them....good luck. You wait a week for a reply and then wait a month for another shipment.

I'll order from DDM again on my next vehicle but I'll always keep in mind i'm just tossin dice.

Check the video in my signature.

Remember the higher the bulb number doesn't mean more light. Running anything over 5000k actually produces less usable light, thus lighting up the road worse! Stick in the 4000k to 5000k range.
