01 Tahoe key fobs won’t program!

The module on the driver's door which contains all the switches for power windows, door locks and mirror adjustment. Not sure what it is called.

It’s called the RKE module but I think in 01 it was located somewhere else and the receiver is in the A-pillar. If you replace it go with a GM one and have it programmed at the dealer or with a Tech2. Don’t bother with the Dorman modules.

I just had the same issue. I got two new dorman 13733 key fobs locally for a steal. I spent over 3 weeks trying and nothing so one day I tried and call their customer service and what do you know. Synced up zero issues

Very old thread but I wanna know as well! I was never able to get aftermarket to program, back in 2016 I was able to order 2 GM remotes and those worked perfect, they get beat up and now I need a replacement so hopefully one is still floating around in a warehouse. $113 in 2023 vs $87 In 2016
