03 - Adding an amp to bose amp

I've been trying to research this topic and I know the answer is probably here but I can't find it. I have a Pioneer double din and the bose system. I just got new subs and an amp for the subs. I've read that in order to get it to work you have to tap into the speaker outputs from the bose amp to the line out converter, then you take the rca to the new amp. Then I'll have to run a wire for the remote from behind the radio to the new amp and a power wire to the amp. Any help would be appreciated!

Also do you have any recommendations for what wiring kit to buy from Amazon for the amp?

Probably easier than tapping into everything.

If you're replacing the headunit, and doing new subs and amps, why not just pull the bose amp and sub and run the amp to the new deck's preouts?

I've already replaced the radio I didn't know if ripping out the old bose amp would be easier. I know my radio has 4 X 50w outputs for the door speakers.(I havent replaced the door speakers yet I don't know how well the outputs will sound on the factory speakers) I only have a mono channel amp so it's just gonna power the subs for now. Where does that PAC piece go in the car?

Just run your rca's and remote wire straight to the pioneer radio. Hook the remote to the remote turn on wire. And then hook the rca's to the sub output.

I'm assuming the radio is already working since you said it's already installed. If it is, then the speakers will still work like they currently are

Yes radio is working perfectly. Now do I just hook up power to the battery like normal for the new amp and not mess with the factory amp?

What amp do you have? That will determine what size power wires you need. And yes the main power cable will go straight to the battery. And the main ground, I usually put them under a seat bolt after scraping the paint off

I have a infinity reference 311a.. This was given to me so I'd thought I'd try and make it work. 2 12 inch Memphis audio 15-pr12s4v2. I have a pioneer 4800bs.

Run your new sub amp off the Pioneer's subwoofer RCA output. You don't want a line converter, that's only for when you don't have a subwoofer output. And yes, run main power for the amp from the battery with a fuse at the battery , ground it well, and your Pioneer has a remote turn-on output wire to turn the amp on. You can leave the rest of your system as is. Your Pioneer has full control of the new subs and amp if you do it this way.
