A hundred threads, but most old or airbag related. I have 109,000 miles and the rear shock bodies are pretty rusty, though no sign of leaks. One tire bounces pretty hard at 55mph, so I know somebody's dead...
Is there any source for stock or aftermarket electronic shocks, or am I forced to disable the autoride? I checked rockauto and gmpartsdirect, neither shows them available.

Curiouser.
Shock Warehouse has no database for a 2004 with rear non-air autoride shocks. WTF?
Edit; CK5 forum seemed to know this is standard on the 2500 with possible air ride on top SO.
Looks like not much option but to convert it.

Are the front autoride non-air shocks the same for 1500 and 2500?

i don't think fronts are the same. 1500 and 2500 have an autoride option - but other than the name, they are not the same. The rear for 2500 has leaf springs, and different mounts. I don't think the front is involved at all in a 2500, but it has been a long time.

Sometimes auto ride and auto leveling get mixed up. Check your rpo codes in your glove box. It’ll tell you what you have.
