I don't know about the sunroof issue, other than if you can't close it you may want to temporarily tape some heavy plastic over it.
How is water getting into the engine air filter, isn't that a sealed unit?
Also, can you describe your "no start" symptoms differently? Does the engine crank (turn over) but not start? Or does it try to turn over but doesn't even do that?
Okay so today I'm still having issues, but it's gotten worse unfortunately.
Everything is completely dead my key fob won't unlock my car and my battery has 1.4 volts.
I have a NOCO genius jump pack so when I hook it up to jump my car it doesn't give me the ready signal to start my car... so I have to force it by pressing and holding the bypass button on the noco to start my vehicle...
And when my car is finally started my sunroof will open, but then only close to the vent position keeping it open as it has been ...
Now none of my windows work, doors won't unlock or lock and I'm having electrical issues as I had the rain flood my car and have a mold issue since then I have removed all my interior completely gutted it so I can clean it up and now I got the headliner down and as expected the whole track system is pretty much busted...
now I'm just trying to figure out how to close my sunroof all the way so I have no more water leaks! I don't care if it opens back up or not...
As far as everything else with the little knowledge that I have with vehicles, I'm thinking it's the BCM? BUT I'M REALLY HOPING IT'S NOT THE BCM!! cuz that's an expensive part!
what other parts would be causing these issues and why is my sunroof working (almost closing) but all other windows, stereo and door locks do not??
Even when my car is running, my key fob won't lock or unlock my car doors (yes I replaced the battery in key fob with a brand new one)..
I checked all of my fuses, all of my relays and they're all good as far as the windows and door locks and lights etc.
But as of now with all these problems occurring I'm afraid to start my car back up to go the route of testing to see if my alternator is charging my battery...
So how would I go about checking all of my electrical issues, without actually starting my car risking and blowing more fuses or shorting out circuits?
ABSOLUTE DISASTER OF A MESS BUT AT LEAST I'M GETTING IT ALL CLEANED UP GOT BRAND NEW SEATS AND PRESSURE WASHING THE CARPET KILLING THE MOLD WITH VINEGAR AND HOT STEAM WITH AUTO EXTRACTOR BUT I'M MAINLY CONCERNED ABOUT MY CAR'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND MY BATTERY NOT HOLDING CHARGE
AND I NEED THIS VEHICLE TO GET TO AND FROM WORK.. SO ANY ADVICE, VIDEOS & PICTURES OR SCHEMATICS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED
