so a buddy just picked up a gorgeous, mint 2005 Z71 last night. im jealous cause its the exact truck and features that i want but just not in my price range. anyway, the battery was on its last leg when he left the lot. stopped for gas on the way home and it died. luckily walmart was across the street so he went and picked one up. they didnt have the proper size battery so he got one that was one size smaller but fits his camaro (that has guess what...a dead battery!!) just to get home and is getting the proper size battery today.

after swapping the battery, the AC is blowing hot now. any connection there? asked him if its cold on one side and hot on the other, he said no. i did not ask him to check the rear AC though. i think its a silly electrical thing that isnt a big deal. any ideas?

Every once in a while mine will do that. I just turn off the AC, kill the engine, and then crank it back up and turn on the AC. It's fixed. I don't know why it does it, but that fixes it.

It's done it twice in 2 years.

If that does not fix it I'd take it back where he got it and have them look at it.

im thinking he will if he cant figure it out. luckily it wasnt a crappy used lot. got it from a rather large nissan dealer's trade in lot. it was actually a great transaction. gave him the deal he wanted without a problem. were very honest and even gave him a $100 credit before he got there for the battery after numbers were ironed out (agreed on price over the phone). he didnt even know the batter was bad.
