Ordered a bag of 194 leds's for my denali, and I'll use the rest on my dad's truck, my work truck, and my moms car.
Went to put them in my map lights and the reflector shrouds wouldn't fit. I guess they used friction to stay in over the stock bulbs, but these 194s are bigger and the shroud won't fit over them, and I can't put them in and push the bulb through.

Anyone else who's done LED interior lights- did your shrouds fit or did you just leave them out?
If it's the smd LED's you can leave them out since they only throw light in one direction as opposed to a full circle like regular bulbs. Give them a try and see how they work.

they're 360s

They work fine, and idk how noticeable it is with them out, it just feels wrong to me, kinda hacked. But they put out plenty of light, and I was really just going for a color change, I don't use them that often. They're 6k instead of the halogens that were stock.

They should be fine. I think a big part of the reason for the shields is heat and LED's are cool.

Had to bend the tabs flat then just worked them in from the back, then inserted into the housings.

Way brighter, definitely use the reflectors.

Oh crap I was thinking of festoons, not 194's. Both my rigs have festoons. That will work for you, good job.

I took my reflectors out. Gives a blacked out look. Then I blacked out my rear dome lights to match. All my leds are projectors or, like my favorite band, one direction

Four down, like 16 more to go!
Bought a bulk pack of 194’s, I think I have 4 more places that take those, but it’s cold and wet and I really don’t want to be doing the bumper lights or plate lights right now. I’ll use the rest eventually.

Did the map lights and courtesy lights today.

Gotta order festoons for the dome lights, even though I read like 40 times they needed 42mm festoons I still thought they were 194s.

Looks dumb when the lights come on and the front is 6k and the rears are yellow.

ETA: Wow, that picture quality is horrible.
