Only tool you'll need is a 7mm socket. The cowl piece is just clipped on

Candied the orange, nothing new. But what is new is I switched the 3156 plug for a 3157 plug so now I have top and bottom as constant on parking lights and still have turn signal up top and brake on bottom.

Parking lights only

Turn signal

Next are the switchbacks. Again nothing new, just cut out the drl completely and plugged in another set of 3157 plugs and added a second set of switchbacks for a full row of lights.

Next is my favorite. While trying to replace the bulb in the side mirror puddle lamps both housings broke and were unusable. They are not sold individually, you would have to buy the whole power mirror to get the lights so I came up with a Better idea anyway.

Used a pair of 23mm eagle eye led bolts and some plexiglass to create my own light and mount.

Found plexiglass at home depot. $5

Foam sheet with adhesive back for a seal. Michaels craft store $1 for one sheet.

Measured and cut a piece of plexiglass to be used as the bracket.

Made a copy for the other side
20160114_195621.jpg

Smoothed out the edges and stuck on the foam. Then drilled the hole for the light.

Theres different ways to mount it. This is how mine is. Have to use your imagination. I have two holes for screws to screw directly into the mirror itself and a small clip to tuck into one side for a snug and flush fit.

Now this is a rough design but it works. Later this spring when I take off the mirrors to repaint them ill redesign the bracket for a more flush and factory look.

Anyway the final outcome. About 10 times as bright as factory, even with a drop in led bulb.
Won't have any problems finding this thing parked in the dark lol.

Copy and pasting a few mods from here and there so bare with me.

So im bored and still dont have a job and I keep coming up with random ideas.
I bought about 20 of these eagle eye led bolts as a package deal. Ive done a few projects with them and this is one of them.

Screenshot_2016-03-13-00-35-42.png

Took a 3156/3157 plug and gutted it out and clipped the wires.
20160211_171500.jpg

The inside there's a sleeve and is just clipped in and easy to remove. Once out all thats left is a shell.

Now theres one small rib that will have to be ground down and honed out but other than that just drill a 3/8 hole for the bolt and the led fits in perfectly.

Made a rubber washer out of a gasket I had. Keep the moisture out of the tail light housing

And boom there ya go, brightest led you can fit in a tail light housing.
20160211_213406.jpg

Again just like the front turns and rear tails the plugs might have to be slightly modified to fit in the opening to the housing. The plugs usually have 3 clips that hold it in and a shaving would be needed..easy stuff.
just clip your reverse lights and splice in these bad boys.

These are more of a 5000k white.
20160213_010247.jpg

Would be much brighter in a crystal clear aftermarket lens but like stated before I dont have a job right now, so until then im rocking stockers lol
