03+ silvy fogs mock up. Not feelin it

Nnbs Tahoe fogs mock up. Not feelin it either.

I come to the conclusion that although with the right execution this idea would work and flow with the front I decided against it.

Don't mind the temporary z71 fogs that I rolled with for few months.

*She* was checking out the hoe with heated leather seats

So I played around with the stock parking light housings.
Fyi I tried using some butyl that I got from home depot. Comes in a roll for $6. Didnt think about how visible it would be against the black housing lol. All good as I planned to paint the border anyway.

Border just duplicolor gloss black. Then tinted the amber reflector with VHT niteshades. Then followed with a gloss on top of everything.

Wait a minute...you painted the reflectors black AND tinted the lenses? Looks cool but do they still work good.

So after more thought both these fogs look good and are bright , but I decided I was over the outdated halogen style housing fogs and got these instead

Bi-xenon hid compatible projector fogs for a more modern look. That's right , high and low beam :smoke2:

Now I know it's around peg going in a square hole but I don't think they'll stick out like a sore thumb with both the projectors and valance being black.

Got new H11 hid bulbs (5000k) and a set of LEDs too (H11 and 9006). I know leds are not ideal for projectors but they were a good deal and I'll eventually throw them in the wife's car anyway .image.jpeg

Housings oven cleaner trick turned to black ,lens border painted black, lens clear , Amber reflector tinted

Also wired up the corner marker light to light up with the turn signal and not the parking lights.
Also these are another temporary mod till I figure out what I want to do with the turns...I have another set already baked open. I sold my last clear turns I had in before.

They actually look like they work OK, I just thought the actual reflector parts were supposed to stay chrome. Lots of lighting mods happening here!

Tried out my cousins Jdm Astars switchbacks. These are insane, I'm sold. Will be ordering 2 sets soon. And these are even in the black housings. Yes the camera exaggerates glare but You can still see difference.
Mine on left 60smd generic switchbacks. Cousins on right. His were black but overtime turned bronze, guess it's a common issue , has no effect on performance of course.image.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpegimage.jpeg

Don't need no stinkin' reflectors with those! I used Morimoto switchbacks in my CC's turns- bright as hell too but they're hella expensive. How much are the JDM's?

The reflectors themselves are still chrome on them, the area around the reflector bowls are black. Not that it makes much of a difference. We just buy the brightest lights we can find!
