06 Escalade remote starter options

I was told by the dealer years ago that a remote starter for my 06 Escalade was a bad idea. Makes no sense an expensive truck cannot have this option. Is that true? If not what are the best options. I'm reasonably technical, not afraid of a DIY.

Dealers are programmed to tell those lies.

You can install a remote starter in your truck you just have to either disable the Passlock system or buy a bypass kit in order for the remote start to work.

Just don’t use t-taps! They distroy wired pretty bad. Work for a while, then end up cutting thru the wire completely down the road. Use the razor blade and split twist solder Technique
