I recently bought an 07 LT Tahoe 4x4 and the work i know that has been done to it is a speed sensor and hub bearing replace on the front driver side. After driving for a few miles in slush and rain i hit the brakes and my traction control light starts blinking. Thinking im loosing traction some where i slow down more and the knowledge center starts saying to "service stability control" it said something else as well but i cant really remember right now. This morning it did not come on as i was not in any bad weather and did not end up hitting the brakes even as close to as hard as i did last night. Any thought on what this may be?
I believe that on these SUVs there are 4 different sensors, one on each wheel that the stability control/traction control work with and then in turn goes with your engine to kind of stall it out or just reduce the power in order to help you keep from sliding around. But being new to these im not positive on all the tech on them. I will try and run some codes on it and see if anything comes up soon and see where that leads me but im not sure if i will even get any if i dont have a check engine light on.
thanks for the help.
