Lug nut size for fitting under center caps?

Can someone tell me the correct height lugnut size to buy for my winter steel wheels with the plastic center caps. Looks like the faux plastic lug nuts on the center caps grip onto the real lug nuts underneath, but I'm not sure what size to buy so the caps fit flush to the wheel.

My current lugnuts are extended/long to reach through the aftermarket wheels, and I'd rather buy winter-specific lugnuts that can rust away under the plastic covers.

Those plastic lug nuts caps suck. After awhile of taking them off and on they lose their grip and you eventually lose those pretty center caps. Keep an eye on them.

Thank you! I would never have thought to look at externally threaded lugnuts.

Good looking out. I see you can buy replacements on Rock Auto (and other places too, I assume), so I'll keep an eye on them.

I wonder if a dab of RTV, or something pliable like that, on the plastic threads would help it grip. I don't plan on pulling them on/off a lot in the winter. I try to keep my driveway work limited to the warmer/drier months.

Rtv or silicone would work I'd think. Maybe even some Loctite might work.
