I think I will if I lower it any. It's not the top clearance that I'm worried about. It is the front and back of the tires that will hit toward the front bumper and door areas rather than the top of the wheel opening. Also, is the 32" you are referring to measured from the ground to bottom of wheel opening. If anyone knows what stock lowering bloack setup in rear should look like, I'd appreciate any help.

You all are great. Thanks for helping me.

Here's my setup...stock suspension...Bought it in 2013, and I'm pretty sure the previous owner didn't mess with it...

ETA: Height to bottom of fender over center of wheels...Front 34.5", Rear 37.75", so a little more than a 3" rake. Doesn't look as much in that pic because driveway is sloping down from right to left.

The offset of your aftermarket wheels are probably causing the clearance issues. 32" refers to the tire diameter unloaded. 265-70-17s are 31.6 inches tall and 275-55-20s are just shy of 32 inches tall.

Take Bill's advice to heart, he's forgotten more than I'll ever know about towing and 2500s.

This is GREAT info. Looks like I just have to take the blocks out that have been added to mine and go flat springs to pads. Im hoping to get some wheels off FB Marketplace if the guy will respond back. Mine is on some pretty tall 20s currently. Thanks for the height info. also.

Consider the changes getting back or closer to the stock geometry a suspension refresh. Check everything out while you’re swapping things around.

My Bro in-law has an 07 3/4 YXL since we got our 08 1/2 YXL Denali in ‘14. He won’t part with it because they’re few & far between. He doesn’t tow. It’s a hand me down from his in-laws and loves it dearly. He’s 6’10”, it works and it’s comfortable with the adjustable pedals & steering wheel.

Congrats on the new trailer and a damn fun way to tow it.

UPDATE: Put the Burb back on stock 16" wheels and new transforce 245/75 16s. It actually didn't have blocks in back of it, but the torsion bars were cranked all the way. Putting everything back to stock height, it now is so much more stable and actually doesn't feel like a bucking bronco (not a Ford reference). My issue now is that overall, pretty much the tire/wheel change lowered the receiver 2 inches in the back, but I am amazed that the receiver height is still so tall. Wanting to set up my Camco R3 weight distribution hitch on it, but don't know what shank to get for it for that height. It is currently set up for my Armada with a 19" receiver height vs. the 24" receiver height of the burb. Anyone have experience with the 2500 Burbs and these kind of hitches? These Suburbans have very high hitch heights, and per the R3 instructions it looks like I will need a good bit more drop to set it up per their instructions.
