I'll for sure be on the look out for that third row seating. I will see if there is anyone on the island willing to part with theres before I go looking at spending more on shipping, especially where I live.

A bit of a rant coming about this new to me 07 Tahoe.

So far I have liked this SUV but have been coming across more and more things that seem to be an issue with some if not most of these models. Although I feel that I am still happy with the truck I can say that these things that I have found so far does make me second guess my purchase. Not set on getting things fixed and then selling yet but it is a thought I have come around once or twice. Always going back to wanting to fix and keep for myself.

Things found so far. Also keep in mind these first few things were supposed to be fixed by the dealer I bought the truck from and no hassle to me but have been quite a bit of hassle for me since I got the truck.

Some of the things supposed to be fixed by the dealer was left front hub assembly replacement, rear driver side window switch, rear pass side window actuator, front/rear diff fluid, transmission fluid, and transfer case fluid. All those things seemed to be good accept for when replacing the hub assembly they also did an alignment and left the whole upper control arm loose which was setting off a dash light for the traction control and stabilitrack. Once I found that and tightened it down I called the shop that did the work and they are paying for another alignment to be done where I live since I live on an island and them on the main land. All that was not done with out some troubles as well. I almost had to take other means of getting it paid for like filing a BBB claim or blasting them all over social media. Luckily they came to terms. They also some how missed that the rear pass door did not open from the outside which is kind of weird seeing as they replaced the window switch? uhmm. After these things I found that they supposably did I wanted to go over every single thing they did and requested the invoice to double check their work.

Tire sensors removed, not a big issue, mostly inconvenience and prolly done by the PO for aftermarket wheels, but I will still need to get new ones and install myself.

3 of the 8 speakers in the truck seem to be busted or not working at all. After removing the rear pass door to fix the door latch issue I and found that the inside of the door is pretty rusted out and almost looked like it was actually from a junk yard or other car. Also due to the fact that there is over spray on the window molding due to bad masking when repainting.

Now I'm also finding that the door lack on the driver door is not disengaging all the way only when opened from the inside. Hopefully I can fix this by some PB Blaster or adjustment.

The dash as I was told before buying the vehicle I knew was cracked. I saw that this is a common issue with these and looked passed it. I will look to do a dash cap eventually when I get off island.

The blower motor is making some noise when at mid-high setting. No bid deal I will mess with it when I replace the filter. Hopefully just some trash in the fan but we will see.

The brake light switch was out along with the cruise control so after replacing that which looked like that was another thing the shop had tried to replace and did wrong. When I underneath the console it was very dirty under there, no bid deal but after looked around the floor it looked like the carpet had been removed or cleaned. W/e the deal was I pulled the carpet up from the corner underneath the steering wheel. Under the carpet was mud and water. The insulation was all torn to pieces like it was worn out. Kind of concerning. The car fax has no bad reports. One owner and a couple of shop visits for small maintenance

I also read that the engine mounts going out on these are also a common issues. I think I have that problem as well. At around 900ish RPM you can feel the whole front end vibrate. From experience I know that engine mounts going out can cause the entire front end to do that but I have only seen it happen when the cars are at a stop light and stuff like that. This also only noticed with 4 bangers. This issue is very annoying and is driving me crazy when regularly driving around. This is one of the biggest issues I feel I have.

Also the doors seem to retain a lot of water. Sounds like a bag of water sloshing around. That is usually bc the door drains are clogged up so I will be cleaning all of them out soon.

recent discovery is the passenger rear pillar started leaking water. At first I mainly did it when I opened the hatch. Now after I pulled the pillar off and looked up into the roof I have water all over the roof and down the pillar. With hopes that I can get it to stop leaking with silicone around the wiring harness between the hatch and body.

Some of these things like I said I kind of knew about and was willing to look past it. As I also said I still love these trucks and would like to keep it and fix the these many and some small issues. Hope I didn't sound like a teenage complaining too much just kind of let down with all the issues I have found so far. I know coming into a used vehicle you expect things that need to be done but is this too much or what? Open to advice and comments. Thanks for reading.

Sounds like the "shop" you used where a bunch of idiots!..... I wouldn't give up on the truck yet fix the little things and then go over it from top to bottom before you make a decision to keep it or not

I told the dealer everything that I have found and he said that the shop is a third party shop he is using. This is one of the first 10 cars this dealer has sold so far since he has opened and I hope that he does end up using a different shop for now on. I for one would not be going back if I had a shop do this kind of work. After all this happened we did some searching and found a ton of bad reviews for that shop. Now I'm almost thinking that the shop was a friend of the dealers tho with how things have played out over the past few weeks. Thanks for the reply BTW.
