johnsoex - did you cut your bump stop brackets? If not, have you bottomed out?

I'd really prefer not to have to hack those things off, but I definitely don't want to bottom out - will be taking a trip to N Florida in a month or so w/ several sets of golf clubs and a few of 200 lb dudes in the back w/ me - don't want to crack our teeth going over speed bumps.

I've read many posts of people with 2/4 drops (or more) who have said that the ride is almost unbearable if you DON'T cut the bump stops off. Just my 2 cents but from everyone I've read posts from on here and their feedback and I'd definitely make sure you cut them off especially if you're going on a road trip.

less than 34 inches I would cut the brackets off. You can cut the belltech bumpstop that comes wih the kit also about 1 inch to get more ride if needed.

I did not cut the brackets, just the Belltech bump stops. I have not bottomed out, but the roads in JAX are pretty decent. Ride is not bad at all and I have some air in the back shocks. I need to shorten my links next time it's on the rack to get rid of the air and it should be even better. I'm at 35 inches in the rear so maybe not a bad idea to hack off the factory brackets based on what Tony says. If 34 is the cutoff point, I'm only 1 inch away so why not. F it. I'm drivin this truck into the ground. Tired of having a car payment.

Thanks. I just changed the mirror covers to black so it finally looks complete. Long tube headers, resonator delete and tune this weekend. I'll post more pics soon.

Wheels are 30mm offset. They are almost perfectly flush with the fenders. Tony told me 35mm offset would tuck under a little better, but these only come in 20 or 30mm offsets.
