09 6-spd transmission

This thing is kind of a dog. Just cruising around town in residential areas it shifts into 5th and 6th gear. And when you step on it sometimes it hesitates to downshift to get going. At WOT it shifts pretty well. Even at partial throttle it shifts well. Just noticed a couple of traits that are somewhat annoying. Just seems like it always wants to be in 5th or 6th when cruising around. Hopefully when the AutoCal comes out I can get this taken care of by Justin.

Unfortunately you can blame gas mileage and emission standards. One way around it is to use the manual setting and set 4th gear as the highest gear the tranny can use.

I have a XL Denali AWD and I think it is pretty quick for an almost 3 ton vehicle.

If it makes you feel better the A6 does the same thing in a Corvette. But you can always go manual then also but you must upshift manually in a Corvette then.
