I have a 09 Tahoe with 90k and want to lower it 2/3 and put 22's on it for my wife. I want to change my struts and rear shocks due to miles anyway. How are the adjustable struts, would I be killing 2 birds with one stone by going this route or spindles a better route? Whats the best option for lowering the rear?

Thanks

The pics didnt work in the link on the ones you lowered.

So with lowering the front 2 in with struts it wont be able to be aligned correctly? If thats the case its not worth using struts for me, drop spindles would be my next option?

I just figured with 90k miles my stock struts were due to be replaced. I want to do everything at once so I only have to take it apart once and only get it re-aligned once.

I want the best way to lower it 2/3 and it still drive good since my wife drives it 99% of the time. She doesnt like the fact that there are hundreds of black tahoe's driving around that all look the same. So I am lowering it and putting on 22's just to make it look a little different for her.

I personally have found nothing better than STOCK shocks on McGuaghys coil reloators for the front on a NON-Auto ride.

I LOVE my setup.

Aligned perfectly at Sears.

the struts can go up to 2.5 inches. Another option is i can set you up with a 2 inch drop and if doesnt align i can shoo the camber kit to you later on. saves you 75 bucks.

trust me on this the belltech kit along with free travel mod in rear and djm endlinks and my shorter bumpstops you wont have issues. the belltech 5305 coils have been proven since late 1999 when they came out. ALL 2000 to 2015 gm suvs are the same on rear suspension

I have Eibach front and back springs 2/3 drop for 7 years now. Never had any issues with this setup. Should I be doing more mods?

I had 22s. ..just upgraded to 26's

doing the drop struts on the trucks is a better deal. You start fresh with new shocks especailly in this case at almost 100k miles.

if your happy way it is now just leave it but there is a lot of things you can do on these trucks to make them better. My escalade im very happy how it handles 10x better then a stock truck and once you hit corners thing feels a lot more planted... then again i have lots of work done to it

Yes I'd like to make the truck better. With 26's it feels like I'm towing something, feels heavy.

You have a 2/4 kit online right? Can you post that link?

Or is it a customized kit you suggested in other threads?
