Well didn't get as far on my swap as I wanted Saturday but I was able to get the good motor from Suburban out and cleaned up. Now while waiting on some parts I'll get back on pulling the Tahoe motor. Just have mounts and bell housing to go. Happy with how the good motor looks for having 184k. Fairly clean. Perfectly clean oil pick up. I ordered a new Melling oil pump. But really on the fence if I want to change it. Had great pressure. Just one of those things. Oh while its out. Only oil leak on entire motor was oil cooler block off plate gasket. Hope I don't get jinxed changing all gaskets

If it were me, while it's out--I'd change the oil pump, maybe timing chain, oil pressure sensor, water pump, knock sensors--with harness, intake gaskets, rear main seal and oil pan gasket. Those seem to be the problem areas--not sure if I'm forgetting something. How's your motor mounts?
