I've found a 91 Chevy 14bolt outa a 2500 light duty. It's 6 lug. What all do I need for the swap into a 99 Yukon. My 10 bolt is about shot with almost 155xxx miles. Also will it be a big difference with out the rear sway bar. Mi truck has one but the 14bolt don't have mounts for it.

Also on the same subject. Has any one swapped to normal ubolts with standerd spring plate with the ubolt facing up instead of down.

You'll need a different U-Joint. Everything else swaps over. Yes, there are a few company's that sell U-Bolt reversal kits.

Search for your information, This question has been asked a ton of times on this forum, and various others. Information is out there for it.

Have searched on here with no luck. Did pick the rear end up tonight. Got a smoking deal on it. It came outa a 91 2500 light duty extended cab 4x4. Pretty clean rear end.

Next thing is possibly a disk brake swap. Anybody have any idea on what to use. I've found a few companys that sell brakets.

Are the deville calipers ok to use for keeping the ebrake setup. This is a mainly hiway and family hauled so all that needs to def come into play here. Gotta be safe.

Will the master be ok with 4 wheel disk brakes

Gonna order a diff cover, gasket, maybe a pinion gaurd since I don't plan on a lot of lift but would like to protect it.

rear disc conversion - message gubni on pirate4x4 - he has a really nice disc conversion kit with ebrake for a touch over $500

I got my kit in a while ago and it's all GM new or remanufactured parts; comes with semi-metallic pads and you can ss lines for $20 from him.
