P135A - Ignition Coil Supply Voltage Circuit Bank 1.

Has anyone ran into this code? I have checked all of the ignition fuses. Unplugged all coils to confirm they give a code but no luck.

Bank 1 is the driver's side of the engine, so remove and inspect all of the connections for the coils, not just on the coils themselves.

I know that the Traverses had a connector issue like this for a year or two; other informed people will probably chime in with suggestions.

I figured out the issue... The coil packs did not have voltage on bank 1 (outside pins on connectors). I started the car and verified voltage on bank 2 and compared to bank 1. It ran pretty rough on 3 cylinders but remained running. The under hood fuse panel has very poor descriptions. Bank 1 is powered from fuse 88 (mine was blown). Bank 2 powers from fuse 89. These are labeled as injector fuses (odd and even).

Thats Bank 2. CHeck the bank 2 fuse first. THen I'd check for voltage on the connectors of each coil connector on bank 2. You can get the wiring diagram with the Haynes manual, for which 2 wires you need to meter out.

If there's no voltage there you need to inspect the wiring between the connectors and the fuse, there is either a break or short there. If you have voltage make sure it's within spec(if not could be wiring issue as well).

If the voltage is within spec with the connector disconnected but you still have an issue with the coils connected, I'd meter the voltage with them connected (see if you can get a lead into the back of the connector or use a pierce style clamp probe) to see if a bad coil is internally shorted and replace.

hello, my first time here .. i can't believe i found humans that are experiencing the same thing i am i hope you can help me .. my cyl 1 coil pack melted (my traverse has been misfiring for months i put spark plugs and a new coil pack it still miss fired here and there. anyway, the cyl 1 coil melted on me driving .i put a new ac delco coil pack and now i have a code IGNITION COIL SUPPLY VOLTAGE BANK 1.. do you know what that is ? and how can i fix this .. i really need help on this. from what i read that you all have some experience. i have 2012 traverse .
