I've searched through the forum and looked online trying to figure out what is going on with the transmission. When I first start the truck in the morning and go to pull out of the garage the transmission will not engage but slowly slips into drive. There is about a 5 second lag to getting the truck moving. I back the truck into the garage so I don't know if this does it or not in reverse. The other day after work it did it leaving the parking space. The truck only sits for maybe 8-10 hours at work and just overnight in the garage. The Yukon does not do this all the time which is strange. I've read a few of the TSB's but they more or less point to a consistent slippage and not the infrequent type.
I think if I bring the truck in the dealer will give the usual "Nothing wrong all normal" answer. I don't feel like making ten trips to the dealer before they finally experience the issue or the transmission decides to quit working in the middle of a snow storm on our isolated back roads.
Anyone else experience this and did it get repaired.
