16 Yukon Rear Glass

My rear glass won’t open, is there a way to force it open? I believe the latch motor has gone bad.

The rear glass only, not the whole hatch?

Do you hear anything when you press the release button?

Yup, rear glass only. I checked the fuses. I think I hear a relay click, and the mechanism move and 1 time out of a hundred, it opens.

Cold weather where you're at?

I would try getting that thing to open and when you finally do, shoot some silicone spray on the mechanism.

It's just a pop-open type plunger, there is no motor to close it (nor open) like on the big hatch.

No luck with either today.

I suppose that you can open the hatch, pop off the trim panel and manually trigger the latch. Then lubricate the snot out of it and see what happens.
