I am currently in the market for a set of winter rims and tires for my 2022 Yukon XL. Mine has 20's

I am going with 17s from costco for the rims. 17x7.5 with a bolt pattern of 6x139.7

Tires I plan to get Michelin X-ICE 265/70R17

Anyone else have any thoughts?

17’s are not going to fit from my understanding.

My wifes last three full size gm suv’s have had 22’s and she gets around just fine all winter in northern michigan. Cant imagine going to 20’s or 18’s would make any noticeable difference.

According to Costco and Canadian Tire there is a 17" that fit the 2021 and 2022 model years. They always ask if I have the upsized break kit. And I don't.

I'm sure if I order them and they don't fit, wouldn't be an issue to return them.

Id like a dedicated set of winters. Downsizing from 20" will be a cost saving for me. Nova Scotia, Canada prefer a snow tire only and will preserve summer rims from the salt and winter climate.
