I’m having some issues with my roof rack. The bolts that hold it in place are loose, the interior nuts are no longer holding. This has caused some interior water damage to the headliner. Does anyone have an idea where I can get a better roof rack side rails? I have been thinking about having a shop fabricate ones but I assume that will be expensive.

You don’t need a new roof rack take out headliner has damage anyway take your time removing made of cardboard like substance and you don’t want to kill all the plastic trim pieces removing this stuff google Tahoe 95-99 inside trim removal maybe headliner YouTube it’s out there. one Phillips screwdriver or torx bit and a vice grips.Maybe you can tighten up or remove the hardware.hold short pieces of round stock with tapped hole for screw. These were once-spot welded to the inside of the roof. If just in the back remove speakers to access you can put in new bolts if needed. When that’s all done take your headliner to an upholstery placeYou know People that recover furniture I find better prices, all sorts of fabrics to choose from than going to custom car shop or maybe glue some fabric on yourself some silicone wouldn’t hurt under bottom side of roof rack sealing out your water issue
