Hey there I haven't been on in what feels like a million years lol but I couldent find the thread I made about my push button not going into 4 hi and it just blinking but would go into for low but also blink so lets start with today I whent to a local junk yard and bought a trsnsfer case control module and it cured the problum of 4hi not working but the damn selector switch it still blinking!!! I'm very mad over it because it is annoying as hell does anyone have any clue on but this damn thing is still blinking? Note I have changed the 4x4 switch, 4x4 actuator, encoder motor, and every thing that is bolted to the trans case pretty much

then it sounds like the front axle actuator is not locking in place because either it is broken or the switch on the t-case is broken. it also could be that the feed back switch is broken but you would know that if the lights just flashed on and on but both front wheels had power.

get yourself a multi meter.remove the 4wd fuse. set the meter to measure highest amperage. stick the probes on each fuse terminal while that is done engage the 4wd modes. if the t-case switch is working as well as as the circuitry of the actuator. otherwise the amps b=may me temporary or non-existent. if power is steady and good pull the actuator and see if it extends. if so and reinstalled an BOTH front wheels still do not lock to the t-case the the shift fork in the diffy is likely broken.

yes the shifting fork system inside is all the same except the 4wd auto nv246 which has an added clutch pack as well. the only difference on the out side is the push buttons have a electric shift motor and the floor shifter system just has a rod linkage shifter on it instead.
