Alright, I'm stumped. Any and all help is appreciated.

Symptoms: At random times, when trying to start, the car acts like the battery is low. Wining start, eventually fires. You can see voltage gauge in the dash go down around 9 at times. I do know that the P1345 - Cam/Crank Position Sensor shows on a scanner, but believe this is a separate issue.

I've changed the cam, crank position sensors and fuel pump & filter from a separate issue. Also has a new battery and I have not found any accessories that may be left on after cutting the car off. I've taken it to a mechanic who thought it was a ground issue. They chased the grounds and found nothing.

I stopped by the dealer and they recommended that I try to clean out the throttle body. I have not done this yet, but may get around to it tomorrow.

Again, it happens randomly, when the car sits for a long time, when the car sits for a short time. Sometimes it fires right away, sometimes it wont.

Any ideas? I'm stumped. May just go drink a beer and catch it on fire. :head3:

unknown at this time.
clean and inspect your starter cables and perhaps have it tested as well.

also get you dizzy phasing fixed and if not already done, your case relearn done as well and then check the dizzy phasing again.

I'll second the starter wiring check. I was having the same issue and it turned out that the nut on the starter wire had backed off and the wire was just sitting there. Sometimes it got good contact and sometimes it didn't so I would get just a click sometimes and slow cranks at times and normal starts other times. Never did it again once the starter wire was cleaned and tightened down properly.

Appreciate the help. I will give both a check and report back. This issue kills me. Can't wait to get this thing running right...

Wanted to close the loop for others that may experience the same issue...

Ended up taking the distributor out and reinstalling it. Runs like a top now. No starting issues. Thanks to those that responded.
