More Updates: Found two broken clutch plates and some damage to the housing and hub. Definitely could have been the issue. Pretty crazy how these plates got broken. Definitely think it was fluid related. While two were broken, others looked very good. Bought a new chain and gears also. See pictures.

And since I do not have the privileges to post in classifieds since I do not have 85 posts lol, i have these parts I pulled out that are still good (sealed bearing, oil pump and oil pump housing, and new oil pump housing I pulled from my new oil pump when I did the pump rub upgrade).

Bringing this thread back from the dead because I am very interested in this rear CV shaft you guys speak of. I have a 98 Tahoe with a RCX lift kit. Im using 5" lift blocks in the rear with a small shim. Not sure of the angle. Front is cranked so the truck sits level. I have the NP241 TC. I dont feel a lot of vibration while driving but I know there is some there. I am running a Dana 60 rear axle with a 1350 yoke. I am running a conversion U joint on the rear of the driveshaft. I get about 2 years out of it.

Id like to venture into upgrading a few parts on my rig. Id like to get rid of the blocks and get my 5" of lift from new leaf springs and possibly a shackle flip kit from ORD. Im not familiar with what will happen once the shackle flip brackets go on either. Not sure if something else has to be changed.

I do not wheel the truck. Its my DD. I just constantly worry that my rear driveshaft will fall out due to a failed U joint. Id like to upgrade to something else and this CV you guys speak of may be the ticket. I need more info!!! :) IMG_1872.JPG
