2/3 Belltech drop, now with stabilitrack problems

Hey everyone new to the site, and looking for some help.i had looked through the search and wasnt able to find an answer so here is my prediciment.

Just installed a belltech kit on my 08 Tahoe, 2 inch spindles and 4 inch springs with a spacer. on 22"s had zero issues with the abs/ stabilitrack system until I lowered it, but now the service tractioncontrol, service stabilitrack, lights flash and in the DIC stay on ABS sensors are all hooked up, dustshields are in place, now wires kinked/cut/unplugged.

Everything i have been able to find so far online is that it COULD be a million different thing(or maybe just 4 or 5) so I was wondering if anybody else has been through this and has the fix for it.


I havent been able to get it to the alignment shop yet(stearing wheel is about 30 degrees off to the left), so i am hoping that it could be the stearing wheel posistion sensor not reading correctly. any help is greatly appreciated and sorry for the longwinded 1st post.

On each side of the rear on top of the frame there is a plug in connection. It is very common for these connections to come lose while installing the rear shocks and causing these messages. Check these to be sure there's a tight connection on each side

Thanks! I"ll check that this weekend, havent been able to get back to the shop so far this week.

I was planing ongetting the wheels off and doublechecking everything anyway once i could get it back up on the lift.

If something is unplugged the light will stay on all the time.

I didn't think that changing the spindles only would know it out of alignment.

ok so finally got a chance to chekc everything over the weekend. no loose wires, nothing pinched or cut. took it to get aligned and fixed the problem, there is a sensor in the rack&pinion that if it is "too far off center" it will throw the codes. Basically from my understanding of what i have read, if the stearing wheel is off center by whatever degree and the vehicle is traveling sraight it basically thinks it it sliding. throws the computer way off.

And yes BlackBiatch, anything you change in the front end will throw the alignment out of whack. mine was so far off some measurements didnt even read (or were so far out of "spec") on the alignent machine.

I was able to set the town in/out with a measureing tape but the camber was way out of whack, untill i could finally get it aligned.

if you dropped the rear end without taking sensors off the frame you either popped them out of the harness or broke the actual line so will need to replace.

in front if you stretched the line when taking it apart it will damage it and need to be replaced

just make sure the electrical connectors are all plugged in on front and rear and then you willl have to prob take it to dealer. THere are a lot of shops that have done this on customers trucks i had to redo.
