Im thinking of doing a djm 2/3 drop(keys and springs), first ? does the rear hardware kit need to be ordered as well and what about different shocks, or can I retain the original?

But my main concern is hauling. After all it is an suv with room for ppl and gear. Who has this drop, and how is the ride? Are you still able to load up your truck and speed around town, not worry (too much) about speed bumps and potholes?

Thanks in advance

im not a fan of keys.. but a 2/3 drop in general has the capacity to by a stock tow and ride.. you can (should) do a shorter shock to retain full towing capacity and ride quality.. if you do spindles or lca on the front youll be happier than with keys btw imo.. as far as stock like retention.

you can tow on a 3/5 with 24s and people in your ride for the record.. so a 2/3 and 20s or so will be fine.

The hardware kit is more important for bigger drops.. 3 isnt that big of a deal.

I have a 2/3, with shock relocators, and I just changed out rear shocks to obtain max drop.

I have a Belltech 3/5 on 24's (stock shocks) it rides great and I towed a 26' RV, with 5 people in the Tahoe with no problems. It dropped my rear down to what i wanted it (lol) with about 1/4'' gap between the tire and fender and it didn't rub at all.

Where you using a weight distribution hitch when you towed that trailer? I am doing a 2/3 drop with the spindles. I plan to pull a Jeep wrangler on a trailer from time to time. I also plan to have a weight distribution hitch. I was wondering if I would need to consider helper bags for it.

No I just have a standard 5000 pound hitch on there. I need to upgrade it though, the trailer barely was under 5000 pounds.
