currently, i am not...that is also my wish.

i have posted a pic of a 2.5-2.75 / 2, with the 285/55/22, and researching that post to confirm the specs.

I went back to the original post of that Yukon xl and it was 285/50/22 which is quite a bit smaller than the 285/55. If you find out otherwise let me know but I just don’t see it happening without a 6” suspension lift and most I’ve seen require aftermarket wheels. Such a bummer

actually, that is reassuring to me, i wanted the tallest but still 285 wide i could get. a 2.5/1.5 will be ordered sooner than later now. then i will follow with a FOX C/O swap once more readily available.
i didnt want the the 12.5 width of a 33x12.5 or a 305...the 285 grabs enough crowns and ruts in my area, that i dont care for it.

Hi to all, i'm buying a 2016 Tahoe LTZ and i want to install the Suspension Maxx Leveling Kit for the Magnaride. The vehicle has 22 rims and 285/45R22 tires on it. I read a lot of forums and found people suggesting 2" in front or 2.5"/1.5" rear. I bought the Complete suspension Maxx kit, the one for the front with multiple levels and the 2 options for the rear and the chock extension. I was wondering the combination to gain the maximum ground clearance that i can safely get with those kits and keeping the vehicle looking like factory or level ?

Can somebody light me in this matter?

Thanks

This is 2.5 / 1.5 with bilstein 5100 rear and stock front struts, tire is a 285/50/22 toyo at3

Has a perfect height, maybe 1/4 higher in rear and looks perfect in person.

Just wanted to confirm that a 285 55/22 tire will then NOT fit on a 16 Yukon with a 1.5” front lift only. I want beefier sidewalls than my stock 285 45/22 tires. Is a 50 the only way to go with stock 22”rims? I don't mind modifying fender wells but want no rubbing. Thanks.

The 55/22 is nearly a full inch larger than my 50/22...asuch as I wanted the 55...it would not go.

The readylift SST 4" is what you would need. And even at that, some trimmingay be required.

Ok thanks. Problem is that I have the self leveling suspension in the rear and believe I cannot lift the rear without getting more involved than just the lift kit. Since I do not want to change rims at this point, looks like my only option would be the 50 series tire to add more sidewall over the stock 45, but is not going to be much.

1. you can do the lift...you will have to match the spring spacer to a shock relocator in length, that will keep the stock shock travel the same. you will need new adjusting rods and play with that to get your desired look.

2. i really wanted the 55 side wall, the one on this board with them looks great...BUT trust m!!! i do not think that you will be disappointed in the 2.5/1.5 with the 50 sidewall...it makes a huge difference and (to Me) looks perfect.

it makes the vehicle what it should have been, without totally killing power and driveability
