After getting 29.1 MPG going 73-75 miles per hour from Michigan to Florida and back in our 2022 3.0 diesel Suburban I will never go back to a gasoline engine. 765 miles of range was flat out awesome!!!!!
Diesel is the best option for big vehicles. Idk why they even opted for a 2.7 turbo gas motor. Only problem with any of these motors is going to be the emissions crap.

If CAFE MpG tests are going to keep tightening the noose every year, there's gonna be even more 4-in-lines & 6-in-lines than there already are now.
(If you REALLY wanna throw up ... more 3-in-lines too! ... :doublepuke: )

There's one upside we can hope for though:
If they're turbocharged, they may turn out to be an even greater bang-for-the-buck in terms of performance improvement potential than the Syclone and the Typhoon.

The LB4-ZR9 is STILL an underrated engine to this day ...
I think the PAS developers were the magic behind those 80s turbo motors. Idk who is engineering the new turbo stuff hopefully someone decent. Direct injection turbo motors are just going to have sevee carbon buildup.
