I put a 2 inch block kit in the rear and cranked my torsion bars to level. Now I read up on this quite a bit and I'm getting mixed information about the shocks after the lift. Right now I have all new shocks on the truck but I am concerned that the travel isn't enough. Is it neccesary to lengthen the shocks??? I'm well aware that doing this isn't going to improve the ride due to the TB crank and I'm ok with that. I just don't want any unessecary damage due to the shocks being to short. I have also noticed that when I jack the front of the truck off the ground and let the lower control arms hang, the shock on the pass. side needs to be compressed slightly to get the bolts in, on the driver side however I have to jack the lower CA up to get the bolts in. I have replaced everything on the front suspension so I'm not sure whats up with that. Any input would be appreciated.....Thanks.

youll be fine. just get the rear shocks slightly longer next time u replace em and as long as you dont articulate the suspension, youll be fine.

Worst case the rides sucks a little and you kill a set of shocks. But yeah, 2-3 inches longer next time if you are keeping thetruck like that

i would like a little detail on this also as i ran into the same problem but i was also told needed to change the torsion keys and put adapters on the shocks..... basically i plan on doing the same thing i am all factory right now and i am going to put 2" blocks in the back and turn the torsions up my question is the same about the shocks and also will the factory keys get the front end level without having to change anything if possible could i get a private message incase i cant get on to check the post for a few days

aftermarket keys aren't needed on the OBS trucks unless you have extremely worn suspension.

correct. So long as the torsion bars are not shot the stock keys should give enough lift to level the truck as well as crank too far. Just ensure that the control arms are not sitting on the stops as this will cause a crappy ride. Suspension travel is the key to a smooth ride
