Hello was told by AUTO ZONE this o2 sensor is not working.
I have a 2002 GMC YUKON XLT AUTO RIDE. 5.3 dual gas,v-8
Where is this sensor located?
I need to buy the special wrench for removal.
Any pictures or info would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Not sure what they meant by the #2 O2 sensor. There are a total of four.

Bank 1 Sensor 1 (Driver's side before the cat)
Bank 1 Sensor 2 (Deiver's side after the cat)
Bank 2 Sensor 1 (Passenger side before the cat)
Bank 2 Sensor 2 (Passenger side after the cat)

If you have a check engine light and Autozone gave you the error code, what was it? Should be like a P0420 or something similar.

As for the tool, this is an O2 wrench:

Thank you Jaywoo65 and mattbta. My fault for not asking the right question. Thank you, I am now ready to go back to Autozone to find out location of o2 sensor and wrench and get my body plugs on order.
Will return for further updates.

My local Advance Auto / Checker "rents" tools, but I'm not sure this would be one of them. Essentially you buy it, then they buy it back when you're done with it.

Apparently they do rent an O2 removal tool, well AutoZone does. Out of curiosity, I looked on Amazon and there's several options under $20. The particular wrench in the pic above got horrible reviews. Seems they're rather prone to breaking on first or second use.

This set has positive reviews: ABN 3 Piece 3/8" Drive Oxygen Sensor Wrench Socket Set https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QL3QJA0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_SFngzbSJTMTXY

I've used it on several O2 sensors, never had an issue. It came from autozone and warranties for life. But it's your money, get what you want.
