2 pin to 4 pin alt

I did search a little and found some information but wanted to come here to very...... Can you put a 4 pin alternator on a 2 pin with a 4 pin plug and just wire up the extra 2 wires???? i bought an xspower vcm and go figure i have a 2 pin alternator..Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

See if you can first exchange it for the right one but I say it can be done

thanks boom i just went ahead and bought a dual alt bracket and ran a separate electrical for my sound system

Is that your subwoofer box in the pic what's the measurement I want to build one that big
