Just about to hit 200,000 on the 08 hybrid. Anything repairs I need to be on the lookout for? I’ve already swapped the G80 rear diff, all lifters, trans torque control module and oil pump. I’m sure it’s probably a good time for a transmission flush. Everything else has been routine maintenance so far. Any thoughts?

Tom, there's just no warning. My hoe is @ 202k, just today had to replace distributor & rotor button, was very low on fuel, thought I had picked up some water/trash, WRONG!!!!!!!!!!.

If you notice your oil pressure beginning to drop more than usual it could be time to replace the oil pump pick up tube o-ring.

Changed that when I changed the oil pump. Didn’t help. Dips all the way down to the left (not zero) needle mark still.

Double check that you were provided with the right one and that it was not pinched on installation. Have you done a compression test and sent off a sample of your oil for analysis?

Haven’t sent oil off. Never have, I just change it regularly. Have not done a compression test but am considering a top end rebuild within the next year.

If you are concerned about low oil pressure in your engine, you should check it with a known accurate gauge (mechanical or digital) installed at the oil pressure sending port of the engine. Checccccccccccccccccck the pressure at idle and 2500 rpm with the engine at operating temperature. If the readings are low you may consider a lower end overhaul as well as a top end. Excessive clearance in the bearings reduces resistance to the oil flow and therefore causes low oil pressure.

We had low oil pressure and check engine light at 88976 miles. The following language is on the repair invoice:
"Checked for DTC P0521 EOP Sensor. Install Mechanical Gauge to engine oil pressure port. Oil presssure 40-60 PSI. Removed sending unit at VLOM. Installed gauge and checked oil pressure which drops to 4 PSI. Faulty VLOM Assembly. R&R intake manifold and replaced VLOM assembly and oil sending unit. Cleared DTC and test drove. OK."

Parts:
1 each 12571609 (S) Manifold $307.41
1 each 12616646 (S) Sensor $92.27
1 each 89060413 (S) Gasket Kit $115.11
Labor $414.95

No oil pressure issues since then and now have almost 144,000 on the clock.

Mtown27, forgot to ask if you have replaced any of the electrical hybrid system or if you have had only 6.0L issues??

The only item I replace was the hybrid torque control module, located beneath the engine battery. Requires 2 harnesses that must be rewired. That’s all I’ve had go out so far.
