Please bear with the story, I'll try to make it to the point and short.

The other morning I leave for work with no issue starting. I had just over a quarter tank of fuel and went to fill up with the station being about 9 miles away. After I fuel up my battery will not start the rig up and had to get a jump. The jumper cables were on for literally 3 seconds and I was able to start it up. No further issues with starting.

Voltage test (taken 12 hours later) shows:
12.7 at the battery with key out and engine off
13.0-13.2 at the OBD port (read via Bluetooth scanning tool) with key on and engine running
14.0-14.2 at the battery with key on and engine running
The tahoe started with no problem after sitting all day after the earlier battery issue. I'm suspecting I need to check/ redo some grounds so any info regarding that would be appreciated.

Another starting issue I have on a regular basis is a hard start condition that's present only after fueling. I only fill up my tank so I don't know if quantity of fuel will change the situation. I also never top off, I stop fueling after the pump clicks off.

Finally I grabbed my fuel pressure gauge and noticed my PSI is low:

54 psi key on engine off. Slow bleed down to about 45psi the holds
47 psi key on engine on.
50 psi under load then immediate drop to 47 psi upon throttle release.

I want to say this is all related except for the hard start. I haven't checked for voltage drop at the pump yet but I suspect if I'm down any volts there the pump wont be at full output. Any help in direction or trouble shooting would help.

Thanks!

Thanks, SunlitComet. I'll go through the grounds after the holidays.

Just to update the thread, I had the battery load tested and it failed. Once replaced it starts much easier. I havent taken any vitals yet, I hope to get some time with the Hoe this weekend.

@jerryjoe28 I still havent gone through the grounds as I would like to since work and weather have kept me busy. I have the notorious volt gauge blinker indicator so I know theres a ground or two that need to be redone somewhere.

I bought a new battery and had a new fuel pump installed and since then I havent had the hard start or hesitation issue at all. Low fuel pressure even a few PSI combined with a weak battery really made this thing a pig.

Yup, 65 psi. The replacement pump I used was the Delphi FG0089. As an added bonus my pump dont whine at all now.
