The sound is a whirring almost vibrating sound. Sometimes you can feel a slight vibration in the floor and the steering wheel.

Here is what I have replaced chasing this down:
Both front wheel bearings
All 4 ball joints
Both front cv axle shafts
Both front brake calipers
Master cylinder
All 4 universal joints

The sound is intermittent. It seems to happen mostly when in curves, hitting brakes or not. The fluid in the front diff is clear with just a small amount of fine dust on the magnet. The front diff fluid is new. I checked the brake dust shield and it's clear of the rotor. The wheels spin free off the ground with no noise. The longer you drive it the worse it gets. No noise in the first 3 miles.

The tie rods are good and the front end has been realigned.

Does anybody know of a shield or something that could be loose.

I am at a lose and the wife is about to shut this project down.

I always take my truck to Midas or belle tire... They tell you what's wrong with it for free and then you can take it home and fix it yourself or have them do it

The closest mechanic like that is over an hour drive away. Pretty much figure it out yourself or take it to the GM dealer.

How are your tires? Do you know what cupped tires look like?

Rotate your tires front to back/back to front and see if the noise is still there.
