tried stall test above, no whine really, service engine light came on immediately. light went off a bit later when driving around. haven't got a chance to check the code yet

Migo73... you can't just pick all the options... if I get it fixed with just TC you are wrong x3. I bet in school you liked the option E) All of the above :Nonono:

and retorq: it's about what step will fix it with LEAST cost. of course entire transmission would fix it. you are like the one jerk on the price is right who waits for everyone else and bids $1 higher. :chair:

I think Donnie and Sunlit have the right approach - hopefully this weekend I can get the fluids replaced and check for shrapnel. Then we will know more.

I hear aamco is pretty good with these things and they sent me a $100 coupon , anybody you guys trust (or don't) to check TC without charging too much ?
Nice truck!! Reminds me of my old one...

>uh yeah, important to get that code.

P0305 Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected Confirmed

Could one cylinder misfire be enough to transfer thru the tcc and drivetrain to feel a shudder? Original report was shudder in 4th gear but this would also indicate fuel/air mixture to the cylinder issue at high speed

P0300 Random - Multiple Misfire Detected

P0141 Oxygen Sensor Heater, Circuit Bank 1, Sensor 2, Intermittent

how do I make a new poll? I am thinking O2 sensor for $30 and spark plugs for $30 are a lot cheaper than full transmission

i am thinking you need to inspect cylinder 5 by compression, plug, wire, and internals terminal for #5 on the dizzy cap before wasting money on parts you may not need. for example an O2 sensor that coincidentally happens to be on the same bank as your misfiring cylinder.

no you need an actual cylinder compression gauge for it. besides if you need extra gauge read-outs thru obd2 a scan gauge 2 is less then have the price. do you really need that anyway? it is not going to solve the issue at hand. physical examination is needed. maybe a multimeter if you see no physical damage.

You don't need a new poll, you need to fix your junk.

A dead cylinder will cause a shudder but not make the transmission act up.
