Hey I was wondering if anyone could throw some tips out for me on wiring my JL sub and amp into the Bose system in my 2000 Yukon denali any help appreciated!! Never wired into a stock stereo system before. I've always done aftermarket. But I want to keep the Bose system if possible.

you need a line out converter like this http://www.amazon.com/PAC-SNI-35-Variable-Line-Converter/dp/B001EAWS3W

and you need to splice the wires coming from the radio to the corresponding wires from the line out converter. This will allow you to hook up your rca feeds to your amplifier. Your amplifier needs to run off of your car radio switched accessory 12v which is a yellow wire.

Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Orange
Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow
Car Radio Ground Wire: Black
Car Radio Illumination Wire: Gray
Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: Brown
Car Stereo Power Antenna Trigger Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Amp Turn-On Trigger Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Amplifier Location: N/A

Car Audio Front Tweeter Size: 1″ Tweeters
Car Audio Front Tweeter Depth: 2″
Car Audio Front Tweeter Location: N/A

Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Tan
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Dark Green

Car Audio Front Speakers Size: 6 1/2″ Speakers
Car Audio Front Speakers Depth: 3 1/2″
Car Audio Front Speakers Location: N/A

Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Brown
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Blue
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Blue

Car Audio Rear Speakers Size: 6 1/2″ Speakers
Car Audio Rear Speakers Depth: 3 1/2″
Car Audio Rear Speakers Location: N/A

Car Subwoofer Speaker Positive Wire (+): N/A
Car Subwoofer Speaker Negative Wire (-): N/A

Car Subwoofer Speaker Size: 10″ Subwoofer
Car Subwoofer Speaker Depth: 4″
Car Subwoofer Speaker Location: N/A

Hope that helps

No disagreement with what "about20..." said, but just one question, are you talking about adding an aftermarket amp as well as the JL sub, or just the JL sub? If its the amp AND the sub, some amps, even some of the JL Audio amps accept "high level inputs" besides accepting audio input signals from just "low level inputs" (RCA cables generally) Now, audio snobs used to turn their noses up at anyone daring to run speaker level inputs into the high level inputs on the cheap-o camps that used to be the only kinds of amps that used high and low level inputs, but I've seen more and more decent quality amps with high level inputs as time goes by (I've been at this on and off for over 20 years!)

While the Audiosnobs will drive with NO music before allowing such a thing as high level inputs in their car/truck, I've got to say I've heard some perfectly decent sounding systems where the amps took hi level inputs and some of the JL amps DO use hi level inputs, so that eliminates the need for the line out converter, then just follow about20's advice on hooking up the rest of the wiring and you're ready to go! I guess we could argue as to whether or not it degrades the sound to not keep the inputs at low levels all the way to the JL amp, but unless you're heading for a car audio sound quality contest with this setup, I'd skip the hassle and just use the high level inputs (or the line out converter as about20 suggested) and have 99.8% of the sound as you'd have going the hard way!
