2001 Tahoe 5.3 Gas, engine swap to 6.6 duramax diesel, ever done ?

Im wondering about if there is anyone that have performed a duramax engine swap to tahoe before ? As title says, i got an 2001 tahoe.

I considered this swap a while back for my Yukon. Besides making enough room for the engine and transmission, I would expect a lot of cutting. I also figured I'd need to upgrade my transfer case, its extremely hard to build a fast twd diesel, torque is a SOB. Also upgrading to 3/4 ton axles cause as soon as that turbo spools up I knew it wouldn't be long untill I started to hear some nasty metal on metal actions.
