My front shocks are quite worn, and I'm looking to replace them. Does the autoride auto level front and rear or just the rear?

Original shocks from GM is rather expensive, suggestions for other replacements are welcome :)

i too am going through this right now...

auto ride shocks level only in rear...front and rear both offer dampening...

I am replacing with Arnott Bilsteins with the resistors to fake the auto ride system.

can't wait till it comes in!

Cool! I replaced my rear shocks with a Bilstein kit and am very happy with the result, I was just a little hesitant about the front shocks not having dampening. I'd be grateful if you'd be as kind as to give me an update once you've installed the kit :)

It is a bit stiffer, which in turn has made the front feel like it wobble around like it's a 50s Cadillac :(

I've been running the Arnott/Bilstein rears with the Arnott compressor for a couple of years now. I originally had some issues, but it was a bad batch and they replaced everything---compressor and shocks---no questions asked, next-day aired it, and reimbursed me my shop fees to get it all installed. That's amazing customer service right there.

Since then, no problems. Highly recommend them if you want a cheaper than OEM replacement while maintaining the auto-levelling function of the rears. Because they are Bilsteins, they also have a lifetime warranty. Here's a link to the fronts:

I honestly don't even know what's on the front right now. I bought it used and they are not OEM, but I can't tell what they are, either. Not sure I have autoride functionality up front. I should probably figure it out, though.
