Hey all...
I've got a 2001 Tahoe with the self-leveling shocks (Nivomat) shocks. I've got 128,000 miles and it's time for new shocks. Completly stock suspension. No lift or drop.

I'm getting rid of the Nivomat shocks and as far as I can tell the best option is the Bilstein 4600 shocks with the Bilstein #199002 spring.

The problem is that it looks like the Bilsteins are back ordered everywhere for at least another 4 weeks.

Is there another setup that's decent out there ?
Or just wait until the Bilsteins are available again?

199020 is the spring part number I got for my suburban. I think 21 is for the Tahoe. Either was the ride is great, and used the 5100s on mine. Rides like a dream. I waited for mine through shockwarehouse. Took about a month. But worth it

Found the 4600 Bilsteins front & rear in stock with the 199021 Bilstein spring in stock. Ordered it today and should have them in a few days.

Can't wait to see & feel the difference in the suspension.

Question: I've driven a 2014 Tahoe with stock suspension. Anybody know how the Bilsteins compare to a new stock Tahoe ?? I liked the 2014, so I'm curious...

I got all 4 Bilstein shocks and the springs on Friday. When I get the shocks swapped out is it recommended to do any other suspension work? Poly busings? Sway bars?

Is there anything essential or recommended I should get done at this time??

When I changed mine out, I did a complete suspension refresh. Everything brand new. Expensive but worth it. I think I spent around $1500 on parts and did they work myself over a weekend.
