What was the damage to get the heater core replaced?

The total bill was $694.00, which included parts, labor, coolant, etc. They are going to fix the top dash piece. On the way home the CEL came on for P0300...I am about to drive this thing into the drink and swear off all GM products.

With a p0300... When's the last time the plugs were replaced? If ever.

O2 sensors still in contact?

Plugs and wires replaced two weeks ago, with ACDelco parts.

O2 sensors appear to be working, but who knows. No O2 codes, just P0300 which after research, can be a ton of things. Not to mention the motor sounds like a diesel on cold starts which is attributed to the ever famous "GM Piston slap" and as I have been told it's "normal", but there is nothing normal about the sound it makes.
