I have a loud clicking noise coming from the drivers side dash when I turn. I've seen suggestions that it is the a/c actuator door but I don't have an a/c unit on this truck. I originally thought it may be my power steering pump going out since it only happens when I turn the wheel but that's not the case. Any suggestions?

A/c was removed. I bought it that way a couple years ago
But how much of it did they remove? Usually people will just remove the condensor and or the ac unit itself. It just might be that actuator door that you're hearing. What happens when you mess with the hvac head unit? Sliding the dial from hot to cold, and back?

They removed all of it. Nothing happens when I change the dials

Welcome to the forum from Iowa.

How long have you had the vehicle? Has it always made this clicking noise or is it something new?
Is the noise only present when you are actually turning the steering wheel into and out of the turn or does it remain if you turn the wheel into a turn and hold it steady then turn the wheel out of the turn?

This last question is a long shot, but do you happen to have stuff that hangs down from your key that might swing into the steering column while your turning?

I've had the truck for 3 years and this noise just started a couple days ago. It happens when I have the wheel turned. The whole time it's turned. Into and out of the turn

So the noise just started and is present when the vehicle is turning even if the steering wheel is held steady through the turn, like if you were in a large parking lot driving in a circle, correct?

Does it act the same when turning both right and left or does turning one direction make it click more than the other?

Does it click if you are sitting still and turn the steering wheel from full left to full right and back again or is it only there when the vehicle is moving forward?
