2002 Chevy Tahoe 5.3 Ticking?

Every time I do a cold start on my Tahoe and I take it to drive it starts ticking. While I’m driving and accelerating faster the ticking noise increases and when I let go of the gas pedal does not make the ticking. But when I start giving it gas it starts ticking and once the vehicle is warm the ticking stops. I don’t know if it’s a manifold leak or a lifter, pushrod, rocker arms ? I hear the noise from the passenger side of the engine. I will post a link too my YouTube post I made today.

hard to say, the vid stinks on ice. id start with checking you have all your exhaust manifold bolts in place still. they can fall out or the heads rust off.

I fat-fingered the previous "non-response" and posted with no comment. I agree with Scottydoggs on exhaust manifold bolts, it's a common issue. As the engine/manifold heats up, expansion can reduce the tick.

Exhaust manifold bolts or piston slap. Both tend to go away after the motor heats up.
