Hello all. Im having issues with my Yukon overheating when idle... Turn ac off and it comes back down to normal temp. I've swapped out water pump, stat, and radiator with no luck. I'm not losing any fluid. Any other ideas? Any help is mucho appreciated.

Forgot to mention clutch was also swapped and no bubbles while idling. Could it be a bad temp sensor? Ac did get a bit warmer but still blew cold.

Are you going by the gauge or are really boiling into the overflow?
if it's not boiling into the overflow I would check with a manual gauge to see if it's really getting that hot.

livingez_123 - I have not noticed it boiling over at all. Only thing ive observed is the gauge getting hot. Ill see if I can get a hold of a laser temp gauge. Thanks for the advice.

imi4tth3w - I dont notice a louder roar when AC is on. I can hear the compressor kick on but nothing like a fan spinning faster. I was spinning the fan last night after it was warm and it feels as if it has the same tension as when its cold. I just replaced it could it be a bad fan? Note fan does not free spin.

The OP hasn't been on here in nearly 10 years so I wouldn't expect an answer from that neck of the woods.

If you're having issues with yours, I recommend to start a new thread in the correct section for your vehicle, provide vehicle info and details about your issues.
