2003 Tahoe Front Bumper Removal

A for me I've been doing great so far. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and happy New Years !

Now, Can anybody post detailed instructions with pics if possible on how to remove a front bumper from an 03 tahoe ?

I would really appreciate the help.

I was just trying to remove mine while doing some other work, just to make it easier to access things, thinking I only had to remove the 4 bolts underneath and the 2 on top, but something is still hanging up on the ends. Anyone have any ideas or pics?

Did you ever figure it out. Ive got a 2006 Tahoe I need to replace the front bumper on ( wife hit another car). I got a new chrome bumper and brace for each side. Haven't made the attempt yet but just wanna be prepared.

Did mine today was very very easy. 6 bolts , 4 on top and 2 underneath. Took about 2hrs to complete. I just replaced the chrome part , kept both plastic (top and bottom) pieces.

I should have videoed it but I was in a rush. If anyone has questions feel free to PM me I can take some pics if needed.

Old thread, but thought I'd ask. On 03 Tahoe, does the front bumper cap just "unclip" from the chrome part of the bumper? Thought I read you can use pliers from the bottom the get it popped off? Anyone do this and could help?

Yes use plyers and squeeze the clips together and they'll pop right out, no tape and no screws.. I've only done it with the bumper off so if you plan on doing it with the bumper on I'm not sure if there's enough access to get to the clips.

Should be enough room to access the plastic clips/pegs. I have done it numerous times on my 06 Tahoe with the bumper on unless for some reason there was a different way of attaching it between the years.
