Your time is worth something. Cutting open cats and welding them never heard of that.
Yeah, my time is worth something but I enjoy working on stuff and if I wasn't working on this turd I'd be spending money on parts for something else that won't net me any income in return like usual hahaha. Plus I'm kinda at a standstill on all my projects, forged 370 still at the shop, 14bolt waiting to get trussed by a buddy, Tacoma waiting on the body shop, all 3 trailers have been painted and are ready for full service, golf cart just got serviced, 4 wheeler smokes the mosquitos away perfectly, and lastly the Tahoe doesn't NEED anything. Oh and my house is falling apart but that's not important
As for the cats I typically grab a big pipe and beat the cats out but this y pipe has way too many curves to get any sort of pipe in so cut and weld it was! Gives me good practice on getting the welder set up right for exhaust. I typically overpower everything to try and get some extra *********** out of the little Hobart but exhaust will burn up easy and get holes, which is exactly why there are a few globby spots.
