I feel like the chrome will end up chipping around the crack. But its what I've got for now so I will probably fix it up the best I can and cross my fingers the third one will be good. Hopefully by the end of the week I can drown my sorrows with loud music lol.
You might be left a little unsatisfied with the bass because you have a lot more room to cover than your RCSB

I guess I'll find out. I'm thinking with a much higher quality amp than I normally run RD series vs the usual JX. Plus giving the sub a box that's built to its exact volume specifications rather than some random box that happens to fit in the space provided. As well as having the speakers getting a full 100w each and the entire truck being sound deadened I think Ill be happy. The single slim 12" in my RCSB directly behind the driver seat is honestly to much especially with the entire cab sound deadened. I know for a fact it will be much better than it is now and not wasting all my cargo space is the biggest concern of mine.

Also Since the 12"W3 that I'm using is 9 years old (Yes I hoard quality parts). If it dies which I don't think it will because it still looks brand new or I feel the need for more bass. I will replace it with a 12"W6 since the volume requirements for the W3 in a ported box are very close to the requirements of the W6 in a sealed box.

2500w. Planet Audio amp and 2 Pioneer 12's. I don't remember exactly which ones though

Ahh, a lot of those cheaper amps that say 2500w end up only putting out about 20% of what they claim. Not that there's really anything wrong with that especially for the price. What I'm getting at is a budget 2500w amp might put out the same power to a more expensive amp. The difference in the high quality amp is that they typically produce cleaner power and have built in features to reduce distortion, over heating, and create maximum SPL without sacrificing SQ.

Not saying there's anything wrong with your setup I just have different goals I guess.

Right. The numbers printed in bold, fiery letters don't mean shit. You gotta love how some of those "X,*** watt" amps have two 20A fuses on them. Or they hit that wattage with 18VDC input playing a 500Hz tone for .005 of a second at 10% distortion.

Thanks for backing me up guys I agree! But there's nothing wrong with them for the price. I have what I call my "****** ball special" it's a 12in bassworx box I found at a junkyard. Plus some random brand sub (Maybe an MTX it's got a grill cover so I can't see it) that came in a car I bought years ago and a boss audio 1500w or 2000w amp. I even have a $60 JVC head unit with blue tooth I got as a scratch and dent sale on cruthfield.

Whenever I buy a new beater or a car to drive for a few months and then flip I usually throw it in the trunk or back seat. It's probably been in a dozen different cars I've owned and still works great. Of course it doesn't sound as good as a high dollar setup but it does thump. Usually it's just a compliment to crappy speakers and if someone steals some part of that setup or it breaks I really don't care.

I've contemplating selling it so many times. It's been close to a year now since I've had it in anything and in sick of it taking up space. But I know if I go get another beater I'll miss my ****** ball special.

I came up with that name because it's the kind of ghetto cobbled together setup that pawn shops try to sell for several hundred dollars.
